Description: RNA-seq, or whole transcriptome sequencing, is a new revolutionary tool to analyze transcription at the genome-wide level. Unlike microarrays, RNA-seq provides simultaneous information about gene expression and sequence polymorphism, enables detection of new coding and non-coding transcripts and splicing variants.

This UHBBI workshop is supported by NSF-CREST HRD-0833211, COBRE P20GM103516, INBRE P20GM103466 and EPSCOR EPS-0903833.
