New Global Health Partnership
06 April 2012Comprising the University of Washington, the University of Michigan, the University of Minnesota and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the Northern/Pacific Global Health Research Fellows Training Consortium is one of five awardees selected to take part in a prestigious, $20.3-million, five-year program to train researchers in global health. The Northern/Pacific Global Health Research Fellows Training Consortium will receive about $3.8 million over the five-year period. Dr. Vivek R. Nerurkar, who will lead the program in Hawaii, expects two scientists per year to be chosen from Hawaii. China and Thailand, the two Pacific-region nations chosen to host the trainees, are already sites of health research partnerships with the University of Hawaii. The application deadline is May 14, 2012.
