Description: We live in the information age and biomarker technology has moved with the times. Over the last 20 years, we have moved from gaining one result per biological sample (e.g., ELISA or RIA) to studying numerous interactions. This presentation will explore why multi-analyte protein analysis, X-MAP technology, is our chosen platform to measure multiple soluble proteins within a single well. The advantages of this technology, as compared to established protein analysis platforms such as Western blotting and ELISA, will be discussed. A brief overview of Luminex instrumentation and MILLIPLEX assay portfolio, including the newest offerings for cell signaling, cancer biomarkers and apoptosis will be provided. Our latest innovation for ultra-low (femtomolar) protein quantitation, the SMCxPRO, will also be discussed.
